Anchorsholme Flooding goes to OFWAT

The Rt.Hon. Sir Robert Atkins MEP for the North West has taken up the cause of Anchorsholme flooding problems with the Water Regulator, Ron Fletcher.

"Following the packed meeting of Residents last Thursday, I have fulfilled my promise to pursue the problem with OFWAT, who was very grateful for the tip-off" commented Sir Robert. "He told me that he will be acting immediately to investigate and that he would keep me informed of progress."

"I contacted also the Managing Director of North West Water to pass on Residents frustration and puzzlement at his Company's absence from the meeting and to invite them to redress the position as soon as possible," continued the North West MEP. "This he understood and promised to set up an information meeting for Anchorsholme residents in the very near future. I will hold him to that pledge."

"I have contacted Cllr. John Blake to inform him of the actions taken and have asked both OFWAT and North West Water to keep me and Cllr. Alan Vincent, Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Blackpool North and Fleetwood, informed as to progress."
